About Us

We are seniors at Misr International University, and this is our graduation project. We chose this piece of art inspired by Jane Austen’s literary works. Our main aim while adapting this story is to serve our readers a new version of Jane Austen’s work. We wanted to resurrect her literary works, but from a different perspective that could appeal to modern readers. The readers would be able to compare the original piece of work with the adapted one, which would expand their limits of imagination and creativity. This piece of work will be donated to the community service to help them gain more knowledge, and it will be their key to creativity. as we students learned to relate Jane Austen’s age to our modern age with our society’s new perspectives.

Biography

Jane Austen was an English author whose literary

creations had a significant impact on the world of literature.

She was born on December 16, 1775, in Hampshire, England.

Despite their lack of wealth, her family was a well-liked member

of the community.

She studied spelling, French, dancing, needlework, and music at

the Reading Ladies Boarding School. After she finished high school,

Jane continued to expand her knowledge. Jane developed the skills

necessary to become the accomplished novelist she is today

through the guidance of her father, who taught his kids a love of study.

Austen started writing stories at a young age, and in her early twenties,

she finished her first novel.

Though “Sense and Sensibility”, Austen's first book to be published,

wasn't until 1811, she had already completed three books by the time

she was twenty-five. Few people outside of her family were aware of

her writing because all of her works were anonymously published.

Austen used her limited earnings to boost her income in the

early nineteenth century, when publishing was one of

the few jobs available to middle-class women.

Austen's anonymity was brought to an end when her second book,

“Pride and Prejudice” (1813), was released and quickly

became very famous.

“Persuasion”, Austen's final book, was completed

before her sudden death. In 1816, Jane’s health condition

deteriorated, probably due to Addison's disease.

She travelled to Winchester for treatment,

where she passed away on July 18, 1817,

leaving behind a literary legacy that still has an impact on

and amuses readers today, Nearly 200 years after her passing.
